Shelby’s Wish Foundation Brings Healing, Hope and Happiness to Pediatric Patients at Glenwood Regional Medical Center

Glenwood Regional Medical Center will dedicate a newly renovated playroom provided by Shelby’s Wish Foundation on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10am in Pediatrics (2nd floor east).

Shelby’s Wish was established in 2008 in memory of eight-year-old Shelby Dianne Fulton, daughter of Chris & Summer Fulton and sister to Tanner Fulton. Shelby’s Wish is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to improve the quality of life for hospitalized children and their families by offering healing, happiness, and hope. Shelby’s Wish hopes to brighten the child’s world and bring some peace and comfort to the family by providing emotional and spiritual support, and gifts of encouragement; all with the goal of enhancing the hospital environment for the child and their parents.

A plaque honoring Shelby will be placed in the newly renovated playroom. Donations for the playroom include painted murals, new toys and play sets, large screen TV with movies, games, wagons, and more. By providing Glenwood with a new play room, Shelby’s Wish has achieved another goal in bringing healing, hope and happiness to area children in need of medical care.

Please join us for the dedication as Glenwood Regional Medical Center expresses appreciation to Shelby’s Wish for the joy they will bring to children for years to come.
